I am offering high school and college level tutoring in my home. Does anyone know if the Tree Streets  Organization allows a sign in the yard?

Lisa, the South Side Neighborhood Organization (SNO) doesn't regulate ordinances about signage in yards. That would be a question to pose to the City government. If you visit their website at www.johnsoncitytn.com or call them at 434-6000, someone should be able to help you with your signage question.
