 built the Model Mill in Johnson City. One of the first thriving indust
 ries in Johnson City, it also was the largest employer at that time. W
 e have the Model Mill to thank for the birth of the Tree Streets and b
 eing a driving economic engine for our young town. Come out and join o
 ur community as we take a guided walking tour of the Model Mill and sh

 about the Model Mill and Tree Streets.\n- Bob Cox has offered to write
  an article for the JC Press on the Model Mill and give us an advance 
 draft to use on our history tour.\n- Tom Seaton has offered to let us 
 use The Firehouse parking lot as a meeting point and kick off for the 
 tour. He has also graciously offered to provide tea & lemonade and tab
 les for us to display items.\n- Archives of Appalachia is looking thro
 ugh their archives to share any pictures, items, stories about the Mod
 el Mill\n\nRough Schedule\n4pm meet & greet with refreshments, memorab
 ilia, etc. at The Firehouse parking lot\n4:15 Walk from The Firehouse 
 around the Model Mill. Stop on each corner for a story & photos. \n-
