One 12 Downtown

I was so looking forward to checking out the new bar, One 12 Downtown, with my dad and good friend. We had read that they were going to be showing the boxing match, but the newpaper ad stated there would be "no cover charge." So the three of us walked downtown only to discover once we arrived that there was a $5 cover. They claimed the paper was wrong.

Mistakes happen, sure enough. However, I remember that long ago businesses would have had to own up to their mistakes by rewarding their potential customers with a welcoming face, an apology, and honoring their ad despite the potential loss in revenue. So, instead of the $15 they would have had from us, they lost more. We took our business to the very pleasant and friendly atmostphere of Main Street Pizza.

We went there during their "soft opening" - didn't really have a menu yet. Food was ok. Way too many tvs for me. I think Steve counted 25. Still, it was a nice looking upscale sports bar place and we don't really have anything like that around here. Sorry to hear about the attitude.
