Traffic signal at Southwest Ave and University parkway

I've been informed by city Traffic Department that the long awaited traffic control and crosswalk signaling at Southwest Ave and University Parkway has been approved and the city is now in the process of hiring a firm to appraise the property that will be needed to install the structures. No luck in remediation of the anti-ADA approach to University Parkway from the dead end of Southwest so far but we as a neighborhood can take this one step at a time. Once the traffic signaling is complete we need to petition ADA for consideration of adequate access. If you have not noticed this obstacle drive to the dead end of Southwest Ave at University Parkway and try to gain access as a person with wheelchair or walker.
