I startled a man in my backyard yesterday. Lets just say he startled me, too. He was white, tall, wearing a black backpack, a baseball cap carrying a huge walking stick with him. He said he was just checking out our backyard project and knew our landscaper. (Apparently that was why he was looking through the landscaper's truck.) Then he moved on to my neighbor's cargo van and peered in the windows. When confronted by another neighbor he said he was thinking of buying a van. When I told him to please move on he told me he had Asperger's, He walked down Pine Street stopping to look through other cars.
My neighbor called the police and they stopped him down the street. His story changed and he miraculously found a cure for autism. What the police did with him I don't know.
This morning my tire was cut. I reported it to the police and there will be extra patrols.
Wow, that's very daring to come into the back yard. I would hope the police got his name and sorry about the tire.
I caught a women on Sunday afternoon stealing doggie bags from the location at the schools playground. She was just standing with her chest up to the dispenser rolling them up. She must have had at least a hundred when I stopped her.
